LAHORE, Mar 10: Pakistan Muslim League-N won Wednesday’s by-elections in NA-123 Lahore and PP-82 Jhang while PML-Zia and Pakistan People’s Party clinched PP-284 Bahawalnagar and PP-25 Jafarabad, according to unofficial results received so far from the majority of the polling stations.

Sattar meets Shahbaz
LAHORE, Feb 22: Federal Minister Farooq Sattar today met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and gave him a copy of the draft prepared by the MQM about Local Government system.
The MQM leader hoped that N-league would consider the draft.
Talks should be held between political forces, he said, urging all parties to work together for the solution of challenges confronting the nation.

Gilani, Nawaz agree to strengthen democratic set-up

Honouring SC verdicts vital for democracy: Nawaz

Nawaz felicitates party's worker on NA-55 win
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif felicitated the party’s workers and people of Pakistan from Khyber to Gwadar on win in NA-55 by-election.
Addressing the public gathering here, he said that Shakil Awan was contesting election against “Ali Baba and chalis chor”, not against Sheikh Rashid.
