LAHORE, July 1: Leader of Muslim League-N Mian Nawaz Sharif said President Musharraf’s policy of war against terror should be reviewed. During a meeting with US Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher, Nawaz Sharif said that war against terror should get approval from the parliament. He also expressed reservation over the operation underway in tribal areas and urged that negotiations should be used instead of force to resolve the issue.

PML-N protests over Nawaz’s disqualification
ISLAMABAD: The incumbent National Assembly on Tuesday witnessed the first walkout of any political party as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz staged walk out from the assembly over the disqualification of its Quaid from by- polls.
Earlier, speaking in the House, PML-N leader, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said that the verdict regarding the disqualification of Mian Nawaz Sharif has been taken by a kangaroo court.
He emphasized that only the parliament does not guarantee the democracy but an independent judiciary is also needed in this regard. He said that our allied party is demanding the probe into assassination of Benazir Bhutto from the United Nations, which reflects that they also do not believe on PCO judges.
